Each member of the Sunday School showed, and explained to us, the wonderful pictures they had created about loving, caring, sharing and remembering those who care for us. The service was led by Rev. Sarah Lawrence. She gave a talk using origami to help us refelect on the people throughout our lives that have cared for, and loved, us and to remember always God's love for each of us, especially at this time as we are approaching Easter.
We had a wonderful time celebrating with 110 people, including children, in our Palm Sunday event held in Rhosneigr village hall this morning. We started the day at 10:00 am with children's activities and then we had a joint service of celebration with the local churches and chapel. Following the service we paraded to each of the churches and chapel carrying a cross and singing and praying outside each place. We returned and shared refreshments of tea, coffee and hot cross buns!
Stations of the CrossBryngwran Church was full of members and friends for our service of Stations of the Cross on Wednesday, 1 April at 7pm. The readings by members of different churches and chapels in the Ministry Area were on the theme of Lent and the life of Christ from his birth to the Cross. During the readings, Wynne Evans showed slides of different scenes from the Passion Play in Oberammegau, and the combination of pictures and words were effective in assisting our meditation during this important week. Musical pieces were contributed by the Military Wives Choir and by Norman Evans, and at the end of the service all the members of the audience received a delicious gift of two Easter cupcakes to take home with them. Thanks to Sylvia for her thorough and careful organisation as usual, and to Wynne for providing the technical expertise!

Our Sea Sunday service was held this year at the seaside in Holyhead, and we were very pleased to welcome members of the St Cybi’s to join us on this special Sunday when we pray for sailors and their families. Around 80 people were present for the service which was led by the Rev. Dr. Kevin Ellis. Taking part were the Sea Cadets, Cantorion Cybi, and readings and prayers were offered by the Rev. Jane Bailey, Heather Thomas, a member of the Sea Cadets, and Tom Jones. The final blessing was offered by the Rev. Neil Ridings. A collection was made of £83.11 towards the work of the RNLI, and the donation was presented to the Coxswain during a visit to the RNLI centre following the service. This was followed by refreshments at Holyhead Sailing Club. A special thanks to Sylvia for her usual meticulous and thorough arrangements.

This Messy Church was our returning one back after a long summer break. Messy Church is now going to take place on the 2nd Saturday of every month to be able to reach out to the community, build friendships and be a place of fun, laughter and worship. We had 12 children plus their parents/grandparents. It was lovely to see new faces as well as some of our faithful regulars. We enjoyed making crows, scarecrows, owls, corn and painting leaves to make leaf print art work! Thank you everyone for all your hard work.
